Well I managed to cook my first ever full Turkey dinner successfully.
No mushroom clouds or visits from the Calgary Fire Department were created from the attempt either, never mind what m numerous friends and co-workers said to the contrary.
Turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, veggies, dressing and biscuits were all on the menu. The only dish missing was my family recipie shrimp salad as it is the most expensive dish for the meal to make. Ah well. I'll just have to make a batch later just because.
The kids made out like bandits and were happy as could be Christmas Morning. I have a number of candid shots that I took during the destruction of the wrapping paper ceremony that I will posting once I get some quiet time to get them off the camera.
I kind of annoyed the wife and mother in law when they asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I said that I didn't want anything because I got what I have wanted with the family being together again. But my mother in law got me a brand new stock/soup pot anyways. Guess they want me to make some of my soups.
I hope all my DA friends had a great day yesterday and I look forward to sharing things with you all on the next year!
